I borrowed the previous model of this nailer from my friend to build a shed, and I liked it so much I bought this model right before I started finishing my basement. This nailer is fantastic. No compressor hose or cord or anything to worry about, it's lightweight enough to use with one arm (though it is heavier than a pneumatic nailer). It never jammed and barely ever misfired on me. And it drives a 3.25" collated galvanized nail all the way into treated wood. I never had the battery die on me during a session (6-8 hours at a time). I just charged it each night after I was done using it.
One time after adjusting the fence, I forgot to tighten the fence retention screws, so after a couple shots the whole fence blew off the front of the nailer. I went online and found the parts guide and ordered the few parts that were damaged by the abuse for $5 and about 10 minutes of work the nailer was good as new. I appreciate a good tool that is engineered in a straightforward, maintainable way and for which replacement parts are available.
One word of caution, the fuel cells don't work when they are cold. I had left the nailer in the garage in the winter (~40 degrees F) and tried to use the nailer and it wouldn't fire. I thought it was broken, so I took it to the local service center and it worked fine with their fuel cell. Once I realized it was the fuel, I started keeping them in my house (~65F) and everything was fine.

As usual, the nail gun was received in a timely manner. What a dream. Saves so much time. It works well, but I had a few times it wouldn't not fire. I would look the gun over looking for a reason and after a while it would begin firing again. The gun was clean, had a fresh battery, and a full clip. I don't understand why it does that once in a while, but in general, it was a dream to have. This is my first nail gun and it boggles my mind on how much time this has saved me. Its very easy to operate, light in weight, and had no other problems. Once I am done with my project , I will sit down and strip the gun down and go over all maintenance instructions again.

Fantastic Product for modern soft wood framing .
Fantastic Product , super reliable, perfect for modern framing using soft woods. Of course not as strong as my pneumatic nailer for remodeling work in oak framed farm houses. However, this is the old model with old fashioned Nickel Cadmium batteries. The newer model uses better performing Lithium Ion batteries. Only buy this model if at a discount price and spend the difference in buying an extra battery.
