Editorial Reviews

From the Manufacturer
NIOSH approved for environments containing certain oil and non-oil based particles. 3M recommended for relief against nuisance levels of organic vapors and ozone protection up to 10 times OSHA PEL. Not NIOSH certified for use against ozone. Use with 3M Respirators 5000 Series or 3M Cartridge 6000 Series with 3M Adapter 502, 3M Face pieces 6000 Series or 3M Face pieces 7000 Series with bayonet filter holders. When properly fitted, use in a variety of applications including welding, brazing, torch cutting, metal pouring, soldering, and exposure to lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic, and MDA for concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half face pieces or 50 times PEL with full face pieces. Full face pieces must be quantitatively fit tested to claim assigned protection factor above 10 in negative pressure mode. Also offers nuisance level relief from organic vapors that are below the PEL. Nuisance level refers to concentrations not exceeding OSHA PEL or other applicable government occupational exposure limits, whichever is lower. Do not use for respiratory protection against acid gases or in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH).

5Great for mold.
By Scott
I used these cartridges when working with extremely (as in clouds of spores 20' in diameter) wood mulch, and they worked perfectly. I didn't have any residual mold flavor or ill effects in my lungs. I will certainly purchase these filters again. I use them with a 3M 6300 series respirator.

5Work Great for Sawdust, Paint Fumes, etc.
By Matt S
These have worked well for filtering out everything to sawdust to the fumes from painting. It has made working in my small shop so much more comfortable. In general, I won't smell a thing until I take off my mask, then it really hits you about how strong the odor is!

Great buy, easy way to protect you nose (and lungs!).

5Great dust, demolition filter!
By rullywow
Great for dusty areas, fiberglass insulation, demolition. They aren't hardcore organic vapor reducing but do have some capability. I purchased these to use for dusty tasks with my 3M 6503QL Rugged Comfort Quick Latch Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator, Large

Love that 3M 6503QL respirator!

Works great. Just be sure to get a proper cartridge type - Organic if you are doing a lot of solvent/organic vapor stuff
