Was sent a used item, not waterproof, not lockable.
Item was clearly not new, the box had previously been torn open and taped back together, item itself showed signs of having been previously put together with wear lines on the hinges and pegs. Item description says: "Easy to assemble and lockable (lock not included). Hinged lid provides easy access." - and there is literally no way to lock the 2.6cu ft lid. There are supposed to be holes for a padlock, but there are no holes and if I drill my own, water will get in. And let's talk about water intrusion - the sides "snap" into the base, but as you can see on the picture, there's a lip all the way around the outside. I tested it in the shower, and water coming straight down on it won't get in, but anything hitting it from the side will drip right down into the lip and seep into the bottom, and if the water hits hard enough, it'll seep through the side seams as well. It is absolutely NOT water-tight. This is not at all what I expected from a Rubbermaid product.

This is a really poor quality product and not at all what I expected from the description or for a Rubbermaid product.
1. It's not lockable. There's no hole for a lock, no way to attach a lock, not lockable, period.
2. It doesn't assemble well. The pieces fit together poorly, and the box is prone to collapsing when moved.
3. Calling it "leak-resistant" is pretty generous, given the giant gaping spaces between pieces.
4. It's not the item pictured.
While it does the job, I can't recommend it.

Doesn't stay together well...
By S. Ware
Oh boy! Putting this together was torture. I was under the assumption that it would easily lock together. Not the case! It just did not want to stay together and I finally had to have my husband place some glue in certain spots to keep it all together. Now that it's together, the purpose it's intended for works fine.
